Associate Director, College Success

Summary
Carolina Youth Coalition (CYC) is seeking a relational, student-centered Associate Director to support the implementation of its newly enhanced College Success Program—Persistence 2.0. As the number of college-enrolled Fellows continues to grow, this role will help scale individualized support and expand career connections that promote college retention and long-term success.
The ideal candidate is engaging, empathetic, and experienced in building trust with college-aged students and early career professionals. They should bring strong advising skills and the ability to connect students with both campus-based resources and career development opportunities.
Position Overview
The Associate Director, College Success is responsible for implementing high-impact programming that supports the college success and professional development of CYC College Fellows. This includes case management, student tracking, event coordination, mentoring, and career readiness initiatives. The role also supports the Smart Savings Program and collaborates with colleagues and partners to provide holistic support throughout college.
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that CYC College Fellows are competitive candidates for internships, research opportunities, co-ops, and other high-impact experiences that position them for meaningful employment or graduate study after college.
Reporting: Reports to Senior Director, Persistence
Schedule Type: Full-time (Exempt) Occasional evenings and weekends are required.
Location: Charlotte, NC . This position is expected to work in person a minimum of three days per week.

Salary and Benefits
- Starting annual salary: $60,000

Development Director
Summary
Carolina Youth Coalition (CYC) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Development Director to lead and manage all aspects of fundraising and donor relations. The Development Director will play a pivotal role in advancing CYC’s mission by building and sustaining diverse revenue streams, cultivating relationships with donors, and designing innovative strategies for philanthropic growth. This leader will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop a comprehensive development strategy and align fundraising goals with the organization’s strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of success in fundraising and development, along with exceptional relationship-building skills, creativity, and a passion for empowering youth and education. Above all, the Development Director will be a visionary fundraiser and ambassador for CYC, inspiring our community to support and champion CYC’s work.
Position Overview
The Development Director will play a key role within Carolina Youth Coalition’s leadership team to expand and strengthen its donor base through the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of both current and future contributors. They will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors and will lead the strategic execution of development operations, stewardship of donors, CRM maintenance, event execution, and creation of fundraising proposals.

Instructor, English & ACT English and Reading
Summary
Carolina Youth Coalition (CYC) is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Part-Time Instructor to support high-achieving, under-resourced high school students in English Language Arts and ACT English & Reading preparation. This in-person role will span from August 2025 through June 2026, with consistent weekly hours during the school year and additional responsibilities on select Saturdays.
The Instructor will lead ACT Prep classes, teach Academic Success and Writing Workshops, provide 1:1 or small group academic support, and assist with general program needs.
This position is in person and requires travel to our two Charlotte campuses:
Southwest Campus: 4200 Sandy Porter Road, Charlotte, NC 28273
East Campus: 6035 Florence Avenue, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28212
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach ACT English and Reading prep classes to high school juniors and seniors at both CYC campuses.
- Facilitate Writing Workshops and Academic Success (AS) workshops for underclassmen (e.g., study skills, time management, test-taking strategies, grammar, and writing fundamentals).
- Provide academic support and tutoring to Fellows in English Language Arts content areas.
- Support program operations as needed (e.g., updating data, meeting with Fellows to discuss academic plans).
- Facilitate and support five full-day Saturday ACT Boot Camps throughout the year (tentatively scheduled for: Aug 23, Nov 22, Feb 28, May 30, June 27).
- Complete paid ACT training and prepare to deliver CYC’s ACT curriculum effectively.
- Attend and execute high-quality lessons using provided curriculum materials.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hourly Rate: $25–$30/hour depending on experience.
- Weekly Hours: 10–12 hours/week
- Start Date: Week of August 11, 2025 (paid training begins prior to program launch on September 8, 2025)
- Location: This is an in-person role. Must have reliable transportation to travel between both CYC campuses.

Summary
Carolina Youth Coalition (CYC) is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-aligned Administrative Coordinator to support daily operations and logistics at our Southwest Campus.
The Administrative Coordinator will play a critical role in managing office systems, welcoming guests and visitors, maintaining campus readiness, and supporting both administrative and development functions. This individual will ensure that the Southwest site operates smoothly, safely, and professionally in support of CYC’s programming and organizational goals.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Administrative Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment at the Southwest Campus. Reporting to the Deputy Director, this role oversees guest management, facilities support, food service logistics, transportation coordination, and administrative duties. The Administrative Coordinator ensures all day-to-day campus operations are carried out with professionalism, accuracy, and a strong alignment with CYC’s values and student-centered mission.
Schedule Type: Part-Time (Non-Exempt); 24 hours per week
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1 hour lunch)
Location: Charlotte, NC (in-person at Southwest Campus)
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $18-22/hr
