Who Can Apply?

• Carolina Youth Coalition is accepting applications for rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade high school students.

• Students must be attending a Charlotte-area high-school.

• We are looking for motivated and driven students seeking a path to college access!

✓Application Requirements - while each application is reviewed on an individual basis, CYC prioritizes applicants with the qualifications listed below:

• Are a first-generation college student

• Have a GPA of 3.3 or better

• Mostly A's and B's (8th grade applicants)

• Live in a household with an income less than $60,000 or demonstrate financial need

How Do I Apply?

✓Step 1: Submit an online application

✓CY. ✓Rising 9th grade application

✓Rising 10th and 11th grade application

✓Step 2: Submit required documents

✓CYC requires students to submit the following documents to process the student's application:

1. Copy of your most recent transcript (rising 10th and 11th grade applicants)

2. Your most recent report card (current 8th grade applicants)

3.Copy of your parent/guardians 2022 1040 tax form

✓Step 3: Application Review and Interview

✓Rising 9th grade applicants must schedule a group interview. After you've submitted an application, you will receive a link to schedule an interview time.

✓Rising 10th and 11th grade interviews are optional. A CYC staff member will contact you if an interview is required.

✓Application updates will be sent via email and text message. Please use a personal email address when completing the application.
